Stirling Castle
Former seat of the Kings and Queens of Scotland, and maintained today by Historic Scotland, Stirling Castle boasts a host of phantoms.
The murdered Earl of Douglas, the deadly Green Lady (last spotted walking through a squaddie delivering food to the Officer’s Mess, in the 1930s...and earning the terrified laddie two weeks rest and recouperation in the Argyll's Ludging medical barracks!) and a spectral highland soldier who, often mistaken for an Historic Scotland guide, helpfully offers directions to tourists!
