The Stirling Sentinel
Taking its name from one of the Burgh's most popular newspapers of the past, The Stirling Sentinel, is a series of short articles on the Destination Stirling website, dealing with all aspects of Stirling's colourful history - from Crime and Punishment ('Last Limb of the Law') and Tourism ('Haste Ye Back!') to Myths ('Stranger Than Fiction'), Shopping ('Bring And Buy'), Religion ('A Matter Of Faith')...with stops at all points in-between.
Fifteen feature, in all, written by the Stirling GhostWalk's own Happy Hangman, which we hope will encourage visitors to the town tro linger longer and explore the remarkable history behind some of the Burgh's most famous landmarks...and, hopefully, to make locals look at their native place with fresh eyes.
